Is Rosemary Oil a Good Hair Growth Treatment?

Culinary and medicinal uses abound for the versatile rosemary. Native to the Mediterranean, where it’s been used for food and medicinal for generations, this woody perennial is a perennial.

Like oregano, peppermint, and cinnamon, rosemary essential oil is a common ingredient in cooking and baking. Essentially, essential oils are volatile plant components that have been distilled to their purest form. Additionally, rosemary essential oil for hair growth can be used for a wide range of other tasks such as preparing food and cleaning.

It’s Possible That Rosemary Oil Could Be Used To Cure Hair Loss.

There may be a connection between rosemary’s health advantages and the belief that rosemary oil promotes hair growth. The plant’s essential oil is said to have the following properties:

  • have a soothing effect on the body
  • aid in the development of new nerve tissue
  • enhance blood flow
  • Rosemary essential oil, like peppermint essential oil, improves blood flow and promotes hair development.

Research is needed to back up the assertions.

According to certain studies, a small amount of rosemary has been shown to improve the health of nerve tissue.

One research found the plant’s active component, carnosic acid, to cure tissue and nerve damage. Hair growth may be restored due to this ability to mend nerve endings in the scalp.

Several recent research has shown that rosemary has a direct effect on hair loss prevention. Among the trials conducted in 2015, one compared the essential oil to minoxidil, commonly referred to as Rogaine. In the case of androgenetic alopecia, both treatments were used on human patients (male or female pattern baldness).

As it turned out, rosemary essential oil had the same level of efficacy as minoxidil. It was more effective than minoxidil at alleviating the side effect of an itchy scalp during the procedure.

For Hair Loss, How Should i Use Rosemary Oil?

As a hair thickening and restorer, rosemary essential oil can be used in several ways. First, use one or two of these methods once or twice a week. The more frequently you use them, the better you’ll get at them.

Using Your Fingers, Apply It To Your Scalp.

Massage a few drops of rosemary essential oil into your scalp after a bath or shower to relax your hair follicles. Add to a carrier oil and blend (like jojoba oil or coconut oil). For best results, let the oil stay on your scalp for at least five to ten minutes before rinsing it off. Check out skin care products India to purchase rosemary essential oil.

 Add it to your shampoo.

Conditioners, lotions, and creams might also fall under this category. Take a safe approach, and don’t overdo it. Per ounce of product, use no more than five drops. After that, you can use the product as you normally would. Applying a small amount to your palm before using any hair product allows you to put 2–3 drops of the oil directly into the hair product.
