Do you know that Twitter is one of the most popular social media applications that cater to more than 230 million users around the globe? It is a perfect tool to communicate with your friends and family anywhere in the world. Celebrities use Twitter to connect and interact with their fans, and many companies maximize this platform to enhance their market and grow their business.

Twitter is easy to learn and understand. The more you use the app, the more you discover things you need to enjoy this platform. If you don’t know how to change Twitter display name and other fundamental hacks you might need, we will share some Twitter tips for newcomers like you. Here it is.

 1. Add Color to Your Profile

Adding color to your profile is like giving life and personality to your Twitter account. This customization feature will make your feed more appealing and noteworthy than before. All you need to do is click Edit Profile, select Theme Color and choose among the options available.

 2.Dark Mode on Twitter

Give your eyes a rest by activating Twitter’s dark mode, also known as “Night Mode”. Twitter included this feature to help your eyesight in a low-light environment, especially at night. To use this, open the Settings and Privacy tab in your profile icon, then tap the Display and Sound option. Next, toggle the Dark Mode slider and choose the dim or lights out option.

 3. Change Your Feed to Chronological

In the past, Twitter used to display tweets in chronological order. But in 2018, they changed its feed to display top tweets you might prefer. But you can still switch this option back anytime you want to. How to do it? It’s easy. Just tap the star icon in the upper right corner and select See latest Tweets instead.

4. Enable Data Saver Mode

If you are always on a trip and want to save data while using Twitter, you can opt for the Data Saver mode available in your app. It can effectively reduce Twitter’s data usage by controlling media downloads in real time. To enable this feature, tap your profile photo and access the dash menu, then tap the toggle next to Data Saver to turn it on.

5. Pin Important Tweets

A pinned tweet is the first and top Twitter post that other users will see whenever they visit your profile, making it the most valuable tweet in your feed. Pinning a tweet is an instant content promotion opportunity that Twitter has to offer to you. If you do not know how to do this, we will help you. All you need to do is to select the three dots in the upper right of a tweet that you want to be pinned and choose the Pin to Your Profile option from the drop-down menu.

6.Optimize Your Profile Picture

As per social media experts, profile images should be square and at least 400 x 400 pixels in size to make them more recognizable even in smaller dimensions, such as viewing them on a mobile device. It is mainly because many users today view profile images on cellphones rather than on desktop or laptop screens. Of course, you don’t want to be seen by others with a blurry profile picture.

7. Create a Twitter Thread

When we say create a thread on Twitter, it means a series of connected tweets from one person. Sometimes we need more than one tweet to express our thoughts and feelings. With this, you can add some additional context to your latest tweet. And this is simple to do. Just draft a new tweet. To add another tweet, click the highlighted plus icon to make another tweet.

8.Use Hashtags Strategically

You might probably know what hashtags is. Twitter users used this to index keywords and topics on the Twitter platform. Using relevant hashtags can maximize the chance of your tweet being noticed and retweeted by a broader audience. This feature allows people to follow topics that might interest them.

9. Add Images to Tweets

Putting visuals in your tweet makes it more appealing and apparent to other users. According to studies, tweets with pictures are most likely to be retweeted rather than simple tweets without an image. It is a promising way to make your tweet stand out from the rest of the tweets on the Twitterverse.

10.Retweet Your Tweets

It might be awkward for you, but retweeting your tweets can lengthen their lifespan in the feed of your followers. It can substantially increase the reach and engagement of each tweet. However, don’t do this too often. Always make sure that the messages that you retweet are relevant at the time.
