Here’s How To Make Yourself Eat More Vegetables

We often struggle to get the proper amount of vegetables in our diet, yet vegetables are an important part of our diet. Here are seven ways to trick yourself into eating vegetables every day, whether you don’t know how to eat them or you don’t even like them.

1. Make spaghetti or pizza with them

You can add carrots, celery, and mushrooms to your spaghetti sauce if you wish. Their flavors will blend nicely, and spaghetti will cover up their taste. You can also use this trick for pizza. Consider adding tomatoes, green peppers, and mushrooms to your pizza. Your pizza will be spiced up with some flavour from these delicious toppings!

2. Drink your vegetables

To juice tasty vegetables, try juicing a combination of vegetables that you like. In case you don’t like juicing, you can blend your vegetables with a blender. A few pieces of spinach or kale can be added to a smoothie or protein shake as a snack. While you may notice a weird color change in the mixture, if the correct amount is used you won’t notice any difference in flavor. Recipes for smoothies can be found here.

3. Cauliflower Kraft Dinner

What does kraft dinner have to do with cauliflower? You’re right! The reality is that it exists. KD Smart is a sub-brand of Kraft Dinner. While Kraft Dinner isn’t the healthiest of meals, its addition of cauliflower noodles will increase your consumption of vegetables.

4. Avocado spread

Often, people are unenthusiastic about avocados because of the strange texture rather than the taste. Make a sandwich, bagel or wrap with avocado spread instead of butter or mayo if you’re worried about it being too greasy. Despite being relatively healthy, you’ll discover how much you enjoy the taste of this healthy alternative.

5. Scramble them into your breakfast

In only 5 minutes, you can make scrambled eggs with vegetables that are good for you. Place some diced veggies along with your eggs in a pan. The taste will be amazing when you mix them together.

Directions For Veggie Scrambled Eggs:

  1. Cook the meat over high heat in a skillet with olive oil. Fry mushroom, onion, and bell pepper until onions are transparent.
  2. Beat eggs and milk together in a mixing bowl. Then stir in the tomato mixture with the egg mixture. The eggs should be set when they are cooked. As soon as the eggs are nearly done, mix in the cheese.

6. Everything tastes better with cheese

Cheese enhances great classics such as french fries, pasta, and hamburgers, and vegetables are no exception! The calcium and protein in cheese make it an excellent source of protein, but don’t go overboard when this food source is added to your broccoli – you still want it to be nutritious. As far as cheesy goodness goes, everything is fine in moderation.

7. Stuff Them

People can become accustomed to the taste and texture of these vegetables by eating stuffed peppers, mushroom caps, or artichokes. It really doesn’t matter what you stuff them with, whether it’s rice, cheese, sautéed onions, etc. Savour the comfort food and make it your own.  The recipe below includes Monterey Jack cheese, sausage, and onions, which are some of our favorite ingredients for stuffed peppers from Martha Stewart.
